BERTHA ELISE BUECHLER November 19, 1919 - December 22, 2005 Peacefully, on December 22, 2005, Bertha passed away at Calvary Place at the age of 86. Bertha was predeceased by her brothers, Fred and William; and her parents Elise and Carl Eichen. Bertha will be remembered by her daughter Marlene Soltes; sons, Carl and Ralph. Bertha will also be missed by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bertha emigrated from Germany at the age of eight with her family. She grew up in Poplar Point and spent most of her adulthood in Winnipeg. Bertha worked for many years at the Health Sciences Centre. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday December 28 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with an interment and reception will follow. The family would like to thank the staff at Calvary Place for the care compassion shown to Bertha. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bertha's name may be made to Calvary Place Personal Care Home, 1325 Erin, Winnipeg, MB R3E 3R6.
